This is where it all began
It was at Praia Mole, one of Brazil’s most traditional surf spots, that I decided to teach the surf community how to build their own boards, back in 2015.
It was the first surfboard-building workshop in Latin America.
Since then, hundreds of boards have been built, each one shaped by different hands, start to finish.
Praia Mole is still where it all starts, for me, and for every participant who comes through here.
Over three days, you’ll build your own wooden surfboard, guided step by step, with wood, tools, technique, and full support.
This is for anyone who wants a real connection with surfing. No previous experience needed.

Three days of shaping at Praia Mole
You build your wooden surfboard with your own hands, guided by me, and sign it as a shaper before taking it home. It includes the wood, the tools, your shaping station, and full support every step of the way. Group of ten.

The workshop ends on Sunday. The journey doesn’t.
Three days are enough to build a board and learn the method. They’re not enough to cover everything. That’s why everyone who does the in-person workshop leaves with what they need to keep shaping at home, at their own pace.
